2018 Hyundai Accent Shows its Handsome Face in Toronto

With so many Hyundai models getting impressive updates as of late, we were wondering when our preferred automaker would get around to the smallest model in its U.S. stable—the Accent. As it turned out, we didn’t have long to wait. At last week’s Toronto Auto Show, the Korean car manufacturer took the wraps off a larger, more stylish 2018 Accent.

The dimensions of the Accent have grown slightly over its predecessor, while borrowing some design cues from its larger Elantra sibling. That handsome new body also has had some wizardry worked on the engineering end to make it more rigid, which will make the car quite a bit more fun to toss around. Under the hood, a new 1.6-liter four-cylinder puts out 132 horsepower and 119 lb-ft of torque. While that’s a bit less than the outgoing model, low end twist has been improved, helping you get going faster sooner.
